When your customers buy a product or service from you, they can choose to add a micro-donation to a product of their choice.
You collect these donations through your normal payment gateway as your customers make them, so the money is stored in your own accounts until you remit it to us.
At the end of each month we reconcile the donations you've collected and you remit these to us, which is one of the commitments you sign up to when you join the network.
So we can reconcile every month, each donation is tracked through a unique reference ID, and we do not request or store your customer's personal details.
Footprints stores these funds in a trust account until a project is completed, when we then pass them on to the charity partner.
